In general, there are two methods for producing cottonseed oil. The first method is direct press and the second one is pre-press & solvent extraction. The second method is suitable for large scale cotton seed oil mill plant, because it can make sure the residual oil rate less than 1%。

First, direct press

Direct press includes cleaning, husking, crushing, softening, flaking, cooking, pressing, etc. process to adjust the cottonseed into the best condition for oil pressing and easy to press oil out. Second, pre-press & solvent extraction

Pre-press & solvent extraction refers to that after pretreatment, the cottonseed is pressed by the oil pressing machine, then send the press cake to solvent extraction plant to further process. Generally, by using the extraction way, the oil residue will be lower than 1%. Solvent extraction equipment includes solvent extraction system, D.T.D.C system, condenser system and recovery system. Besides, the crude cottonseed oil obtained either from direct press or pre-press & solvent extraction plant contains some harmful impurities, so we also offer cottonseed oil refinery plant to get rid of the impurities. It aims at improving the flavor and color of oil and get standard quality edible oil. Cottonseed oil refining process includes degumming, deacidification, decolorization and deodorization.
